Bouncing Back
NOTE: If you are in need of help now, we have provided many resources for you.
It’s not a matter of if bad things will happen to us—bad things will happen, and maybe they already have. What matters is how we come out on the other side of adversity. How do we bounce back, and how do we come out of it a better person?
The ability to bounce back from adversity is also known as resilience. Resilience is an important ability to develop, because the quicker we are able to bounce back from adversity, the less time we spend beating ourselves up, and the sooner we can move on in a positive direction. Resilience allows us to stay focused on the things that matter the most. It is something that may take some time to develop, but in doing so will make you a more complete and balanced person. Even though it might not feel like it at the time, whenever something bad happens to you, you can come out of it a stronger person, you just need to make the choice.
While it is important to have resilience and be able to bounce back, it is also important to know that it is worth it to bounce back. Bad things happen to you, but it is important to know that you have the strength to keep going to help make it better for those around you. Throughout this website, there are tools given to help you learn why it is important to bounce back and who you can reach out to help you do this. If you are in need of serious help, please visit the resources page.
